![]() A Marvellous AfternoonOn Wednesday 3rd February Nigel Perrin gave a choral workshop to the Chamber Choir, Choir and members of the Bruton choral society. In addition some 6th form students popped in, hoping to get some tips before next week's Inter-House singing competition. It was a marvellous afternoon, with plenty of work on breathing, posture, vowel sounds and articulation all presented in a light-hearted but focussed manner. Nigel very quickly got the choir singing beautifully, Mozart's Ave verum corpus in particular was stunning. I was fascinated to watch Nigel work with the Chamber Choir; here was an ex member of The King's Singers working with just eight of our young vocalists. It was simply a joy to watch and hear a master of his art at work. Parents will have the opportunity to hear both the Choir and Chamber Choir perform on Friday 19th March in the Spring concert. |
